NCAA Basketball Betting Lines

02/19/2007 - Tempe, AZ (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Jeff Pendergraph scored 14 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, and the longest losing streak in Division I basketball came to an end, as Arizona State recorded its first Pac-10 win of the season, 68-58, over 22nd-ranked Southern California.

Derek Glasser added 14 points for Arizona State (7-19, 1-14 Pac-10), which snapped it's school-record 15-game losing streak with the win. The Sun Devils also avoided becoming the first team to go winless in Pac-10 history. No team has gone a season without a conference win since the league expanded in 1978-79.

Jerren Shipp scored 10 points for the Sun Devils.

Gabe Pruitt scored 22 points and grabbed eight boards, and Lodrick Stewart added 18 points and seven rebounds for the Trojans (19-8, 9-5), who have lost two of three. Nick Young scored 11 points, and Taj Gibson pulled down 10 boards for USC.

The Sun Devils beat a ranked opponent for the first time since March 20, 2003, when they defeated No. 19 Memphis in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

ASU took the game with a 47-32 second-half surge, erasing a nine-point deficit in the process.

The Sun Devils trailed 32-23 with 15:15 to play, but scored 10 straight to take the lead, with a Glasser trey pushing ASU ahead 33-32. A Stewart basket gave USC a 34-33 lead, but Pendergraph put the Sun Devils back on top, 35-34, with a basket with just under 13 minutes left, and ASU never trailed again.

The Sun Devils slowly pulled away from USC, with their lead capping at 12 points in the final minute.

The Trojans broke a 21-21 tie late in the first half with five straight points, and led, 26-21, at the intermission.
